The removals and storage industry may not be well-famed for leading the way in gender equality, but not to be outdone by our male counterparts, or to be perturbed by an industry that has been traditionally male-dominated; female employees at Burke Bros Moving Group really are turning the tide.
Jackie Bowes and Dawn Allen are heading up an increasingly successful International Department; with Jackie co-ordinating exports and Dawn co-ordinating imports. The success of department has been due in part to the pair’s maintaining of connections between Burke Bros Moving Group and international agents and of building new relationships. Under the co-ordinating of Jackie and Dawn the department has stepped up to deal with a myriad of regulation and legislation changes concerning the logistics of shipping and have also passed the independent assessment of the company’s inter-continental moving activities and has proven full compliance to the FAIMPlus standard. It’s no wonder that the all-female team are dealing with the increase of export and import international enquiries from the public and international trade colleagues!
Laura Burke, as the next generation of the Burke Bros family not only co-ordinates the vital elements of the sales function by managing sales schedules and the generating of sales documentation and the negotiating of terms best suited for the client, but also holds an integral role in controlling the company’s finances, having successfully completed recent accountancy qualifications. Furthermore, the managing of our self-storage facilities is also overseen by Laura.
Burke Bros Moving Group have a thriving Corporate Team. Emily Taylor, as Corporate Sales Co-ordinator plays a vital role in managing every stage of the process; from initial enquiry to the move itself, whether this is for an individual move or for an entire organisation. The success of our Corporate Team is a reflection of the efficient, cost-controlled and tailor-made movement of employees the team are able to offer.
Equally, the maintaining of the Burke Bros Moving Group’s brand and corporate identity is now carried out by Charlotte Crowshaw, Marketing Officer across our website, blog, marketing materials and PR.
