An international mover should be able to supply you with timber crates and cases to export your goods safely. Timber cases are the ideal choice to export your goods overseas as they are of robust construction and ideal for sea freight. The timber cases can often be made to any size to match your specific requirements and will be suitable for items such as grandfather clocks, fine art, paintings, pianos, sculptures etc. Crates and cases can also be supplied for shipping motorbikes. By using specially made crates to export your heavier or specialist items you also helping to protect them from damage as they will not move around as much during transit.
Wherever you are moving to, the majority of countries around the world there are regulations in place to protect their natural environment and habitats from pests on imported items. This means your goods will be subject to quarantine and customs. All timber should be treated and the wooden crates should meet the ISPM 15 Export Timber regulations; this is an internationally agreed standard for the treatment of wood packaging. Wooden packaging material undergoes heat treatment in a kiln at a minimum core temperature of 56Oc for a minimum of 30 minutes. Once this has been completed it will may be officially marked as 1SPM 15 compliant and can be exported freely around the globe.
