Our international agents have continued to inform us of the ‘truckers strike’ in Brazil, preventing any truck from circulating on the roads linking cities. This is affecting distribution and is causing a lack of fuel.
Some truck companies are working and discharging their loads in airports/ ports or in final destinations, but roads are still blocked by the groups supporting the continuation of the strike. Furthermore, Brazilian customs are still on indefinite strike.
Many Brazilian cities are out of fuel supply and the fuel stations that still have stock are prioritising public vehicles.
Today is also a national religious holiday (Corpus Christi) in Brazil followed by an optional Friday tomorrow (1 June).
Any of our existing international customers, who are likely to be affected will be updated directly.
