Members from all continents attended the convention in October 2009 where awards were presented the highest tonnage bookers in various categories. Burke Bros Moving Group were presented an award for the European highest movers of tonnage between its members for 2008/2009.Chris Starkey received the award on behalf of Burke Bros at the awards luncheon.
Sherry Williams has been appointed as Executive Director of Paima with all administration being transferred from Panama city to Tampa Florida.
Burke Bros Moving Group were sponsors of the convention and hosted the welcoming party on the opening evening. During the convention Gary Burke Regional Director for Europe gave the associate report on behalf of all members from outside of the Americas. During the assembly Gary also was on the panel of speakers with the topic “How to stay competitive in todays market and keeping service levels and quality a number one priority“
New members also received their membership certificates and CT-PAT gave presentations on container security and a luncheon on the closing day honouring paima presidents and founding members closed the convention.
