Amongst an audience of over 500 gathered at Wolverhampton Racecourse, representing the great and the good of local businesses, we were incredibly proud to be WINNERS of the Family Business of the Year at the Black Country Chamber of Commerce Business Awards.
The Chamber of Commerce received the highest number of applications in every category this year, beating previous years hands down. The event was a sell-out, with representatives from the most innovative, successful, and high-performing businesses across the Black Country.
From winning global environmental awards to national awards, as a company with strong roots in Wolverhampton, winning in our local business community will always have a special resonance for us. We’re particularly pleased to have recognition for our achievements in becoming the first removals and storage company to be certified PAS2060 carbon neutral with the judges commenting:
“They are leading the way in terms of sustainability and environmentally sound practices in their industry, which has resulted in them being the first removals company in the world to receive PAS2060 carbon neutral certification as part of their commitment to Net Zero, as well as receiving international recognition for their achievements in this field……….What started as a domestic moving company with one van in 1982 has grown to an operation that can service an international moving and relocation market. Beating some very tough competition this year, they are very deserved winners of this year’s Family Business of the Year award.”
With thanks to the judges and the Chamber of Commerce for an enjoyable and well organised event and a memorable performance from Britian’s Got Talent finalist, Amy Lou. The evening proved to be a fitting tribute to the ongoing hard work of the region’s businesses.
