The Burke Bros team is expanding once again. Our latest recruit is Kate Saxton, Sales Co-ordinator. We’re really pleased to welcome Kate to the Sales Team and caught up with her this week to find out a little more about her:
Tell us about your background.
“I studied psychology at Birmingham City University. After completing my studies I worked in retail for five years. The experience and the people I met at university where the reason I decided to move from my hometown of Oxford, back to the West Midlands.
Working in retail has taught me a lot about liaising with customers and providing good service.”
What are your first impressions of the company and the industry?
“It’s proving to be a lovely, customer focused environment with a very close and dedicated team. From day one everyone has been very welcoming. Working in the removals and storage industry is different to anything I’ve done before but an exciting new industry to learn about.”
What motivates you at work?
“I really enjoy working as part of a team and I’m excited to learn a new area of work. It’s motivating to hear all the positive feedback from happy customers.”
What do enjoy doing outside of work?
“I like brunch with friends and binge watching TV shows. I have a love of reading- I am quite a bookworm and also enjoy baking.”
What are your aspirations and long term goals?
“Ultimately, my aspiration is to have a happy work and social life. I’m looking to develop my skills within a new industry. I’d also like to travel and see more of the world, Covid permitting.”
