Anyone who has stayed in Cyprus for more than 90 days will need to obtain a residence permit and some longer-term residents from EU countries, such as the UK, may have been granted a permanent resident permit. In these cases, before you leave Cyprus, you must notify the Civil Registration and Migration department or the Aliens and Immigration Unit of the police to make them away of your plans to leave the country permanently.
Make sure you let everyone you need to that you are leaving giving them your new change of address, including any friends or family in Cyprus, utilities and service providers, your bank in Cyprus. For a small fee the Postal service in Cyprus will also redirect any mail to your address in the UK for the first three months.
