    2021

    Joined the BBC’s Diplomatic Correspondent James Lansdale to present awards to the diplomatic community at a ceremony in Central London.

  • Became official logistics provider for the Wolverhampton to Aberdovey bike ride; supplying both storage and transport solutions for more than 700 riders and West Midlands Police G division.

    Finalists for the Chamber of Commerce ‘Community Award’.

  • Winners of the PAIMA Juan Peralta Global Ecology Award. Received the award in New Orleans for sending 0% of the waste we handle to landfill.

    Official opening of our Self Storage facility with the Mayor of Wolverhampton. A brand new self-storage facility with 96 rooms at our head office in Wolverhampton.

  • Worked closely with University of Wolverhampton in creating new roles at Burke Bros.

    Burke Bros Moving Group were awarded the Service Provider of the Year Award and nominated for Continuous Improvement Award.

  • Major refurbishment carried out at our Wolverhampton head offices. Alongside investment in our staff and staff development.

    2012

    After 28 years the Burke Bros brand was updated and “Global Relocation” was added into our new logo design for our increasingly successful international removal service.

  • Gary Burke became Vice President of PAIMA and helped over-see the transfers of PAIMA’s Head Quarters from Panama to Florida.

    2010

    New logistics divisions added to the company, now 24 hours 6 days a week.

  • Burke Bros were gold sponsors again at PAIMA conference in Hawaii.

    2008

    Gold sponsors at the PAIMA conference in New York and also tonnage award winners.

  • Won the Juan Peralta Global Award, presented in San Francisco for the best contribution from a moving company on global environmental issues.

    Company makeover investment in training, vehicles, technology and marketing.

  • Awarded grants through Dept of Trade to take the company forward through innovative technology.

    The business was split into international and UK moving divisions

  • Joined PAIMA (Pan American International Movers Association)

    Developed an e-commerce website offering online quotations for UK moving and ordering of packaging supplies.

  • Awarded IIP investors in people award.

    Gary Burke receives correspondence from Her Majesty The Queen in recognition of bringing the merits of Wolverhampton to her attention prior to the successful bid for city status in 2000.

  • Joined HHGFFA or the Household Goods Forwarders Association of America

    Joined FIDI (the global alliance of professional international moving and relocation companies).

  • Purchased 3 acre industrial estate Fox’s Lane, Wolverhampton, which is still our present head office.

    Purchased Hudson & Rudge Removals Birmingham (formed in 1844)

  • Purchases Goddards Removals Rugby Ltd (formed 1926)

    Purchased George Clark Removals Ltd (formed in 1898)

  • Moved to larger premises in Wolverhampton.
