Having passed the British Association of Removers approved training course in ‘Practical Estimating’ course in Watford, passing both the practical and theory elements of the test, with an exceptionally high pass in the theory, Steve Ball is ready to take his next step on the career ladder with us.
Starting with us as a porter and successfully progressing to a HGV driver, Steve has gained experience in carrying out overseas moves and moves for our corporate clients. With some office experience too, Steve is now set to make the move and put his knowledge into developing sales further as our most recent Sales Estimator.
As an industry, there is a pressing need to recruit new talent and this is something that Burke Bros has increasingly turned its attention to and opted to ‘grow our own talent’ by recruiting individuals, who are from outside the removals industry, but possess the right personal qualities. Kate Saxton’s relocation from Oxford to Wolverhampton enabled her to initially join the company’s Sales Team as Sales Co-ordinator and then, more recently, taken on the role of Export and Import Co-ordinator. Meanwhile, Lara McDonald has joined the Sales Department as Sales Co-ordinator. Alongside our more experienced members of staff, our newer recruits continue to learn the rigours of the industry.
