Non BAR Rogue Removal Trader sent to Prison
A rogue removal trader who took cash from more than 20 people and failed to turn up was jailed for 18 months recently. Jeffery Hayward trading as Rugby Movers & storage, Removals R us, Ace movers, Master movers and All shire removals admitted fraud taking thousands of pounds from unsuspecting customers constantly undercutting companies such as Burke Bros Moving Group who have been Rugbys largest mover since taking over Goddards in 1992. Hayward claimed to have offices throughout the country and claimed his companies were members of the BAR when in fact they were not. The prosecution was brought by Northampton Trading Standards after many complaints. These sort of traders bring more stress on top of the already stressful time of moving house and both trading standards as well as our company are pleased with the outcome, warning many others who are thinking of taking advantage of people moving to think twice. All customers moving home should always look for the BAR badge to find a professional mover which makes sure they are of good repute and sound financial standing subject to inspection, training and compliance. He was previously warned by trading standards and the Police, in receiving his sentence this takes another cowboy trader of the streets allowing our company to try and secure fair business in the Rugby/Coventry/Warwick area.
