Tomorrow 30+ bikes will be transported to the Lake District in readiness for the Lord Bilston Big Challenge this weekend. We were so pleased to be able to help event organiser, Brendon Turner, with some blankets to protect the bikes en-route and ensure they arrive in the best condition for the 4am cycle ride up the Wrynose Pass and then the ‘King of cycle climbs’ in England- the Hardknott Pass.
The group will leave the bikes and proceed on a hike up Scafel Pike- England’s tallest peak, before paddleboarding the 11 miles of the largest natural lake in England. All of this is followed by a 150 miles cycle ride back to Wolverhampton from Lake Windermere on Sunday!
We wish Brendon and the team every success in this amazing feat and in meeting their fundraising target of £30,000 in aid of Compton Care hospice. Further information is available on the Lord Bilston Big Challenge Just Giving page.
