We’re so pleased to welcome our latest recruit, Lilly Thomas to the Burke Bros team. Lilly joins us as Sales Co-ordinator, and we caught up with her this week to find out a little more about her:
Tell us about your background.
“I worked in hospitality after leaving school and then gained experience in the construction industry in a role that gave sales support to the company Director.”
What are your first impressions of the company and the removals and storage industry?
“I’m learning that there is far more to the industry than many people realise. It’s been great to learn that the company is represented at global conferences and is part of a network of worldwide agents, as well as partaking in an extensive diary of exhibitions across the UK. It’s so much more than just removal vans and boxes!”
What motivates you at work?
“I really enjoy working as part of a team and feeling that I’m part of something. It’s important to have a job that you enjoy and look forward to coming into every day.”
What do enjoy doing outside of work?
“I’m Mum to Phoebe, whose 3 years old and has just started nursery. My time is of course very much dedicated to Phoebe and if I get chance, I like reading.”
What are your aspirations and long-term goals?
“I’m looking to develop my skills within a new industry and ultimately to provide the best opportunities for my daughter as she grows up.”
