Our Transport Manager, Steve Pitt, attended the Transport Manager Refresher Course at the British Association of Removers in Watford this week.
The two day course refreshed on all key areas of Transport Manager responsibility and meets the Traffic Commissioners’ expectations of Transport Manager continual professional development by helping to keep Transport Managers knowledge up to date.
The course covered a whole range of areas from drivers’ hours legislation, tachograph usage, driver licences and driver CPC, operator compliance risk scores (OCRS), operator licensing , effective vehicle maintenance systems, vehicle loading and vehicle specifications, health and safety in transport, traffic regulations and enforcement agencies and effective management of drivers.
All in a day’s work as a Transport Manager!
