As part of his ongoing training, Steve Ball attended the Young Movers Convention, this year held in Cambridge. Another step towards Steve making the move into developing sales as our most recent Sales Estimator.
The peer networking event included informative sessions on a myriad of topics pertinent to the removals and storage industry from the employment law and insurance to the circular economy and sustainability in the sector. Alongside networking opportunities, the event also included a tour of one of Europe’s largest corrugated plants, DS Smith’s industry leading innovation centre.
The ‘Young Movers’ initiative aims to ensure that business knowledge is passed onto a new generation of movers by senior figures from within the industry, whilst also providing the opportunity for members to develop the relationships and networks that will grow with them throughout their careers.
Steve has already passed the BAR Practical Estimating qualification in readiness for joining our team of surveyors and received some very positive feedback from his time on the course: “I had one of your young guys on the Practical Estimating Course.
