An incredibly busy weekend working with Place in the Sun at their exhibition held at Manchester Central. As the international moving experts for the event, we were advising on EU documentation and moving costs to France, Portugal, Spain, Greece, Malta, Cyprus, Crete, Italy and Turkey throughout Saturday and Sunday.
It was great to be able to speak to so many queuing at the Burke Bros stand who are pursuing the dream of moving abroad and making serious plans. In fact it was the first time since 1989 that such lengthy queues formed at our stands for customers wanting information on moving to all countries; whether it was to discuss road services to France or shipping services to Cyprus or Malta etc.
Visitors queued at the doors of the exhibition hall waiting for the expo to start at 10am on Saturday morning with an estimated footfall of 6,000-7,000 people flooding into the exhibition during the two days.
As the first live Place in the Sun exhibition since the start of the pandemic, it was evident that people were pleased to be back at a live event and take full advantage of meeting face to face with leading companies. All of our fellow exhibitors were busy dealing with the pent up demand for people making the move abroad.
